Our Client are seeking a Solicitor for a role with a strong anti-money laundering (AML) focus but it also includes providing advice on a range of other risk management issues which affect the business.

Main Responsibilities 

  1. Taking a lead role in carrying out CDD on a full range of clients  
  2. Supervising the CDD checks carried out and providing guidance to team
  3. Providing advice about reputational risk issues and liaising with clients directly CDD matters
  4. Providing legal advice on the scope of applicable anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing legislation to colleagues
  5. Assisting the MLRO with AML and with developing new Compliance policies/strategies and implementation thereof  
  6. Maintenance of Risk Register
  7. Being fully involved in the AML, Compliance and Risk process within the firm.

The successful candidate  

  • will  be responsible for the day-to-day management of the team 
  • be a qualified solicitor, REL or RFL, with 3+ years’ relevant law firm experience
  • have the ability to demonstrate familiarity with the key aspects of the SRA Code of Conduct 2011 (particularly confidentiality and conflicts)

Must have

  1. a strong technical knowledge of the Money Laundering Regulations 2007 is essential
  2. ability to priorities and meet deadlines  
  3. a passion for financial crime work, particularly AML


  • someone with excellent problem solving skills   
  • confident and assertive, with the ability to build good business relationships
