Our client is looking to recruit a Criminal Paralegal to join their busy Crime Department.
As a Criminal Paralegal you will provide support to the team ensuring they receive the support and resources necessary to enable them to deliver a high quality service to their clients.
You will have experience of working in an office environment and be able to build good working relationships with members of the Criminal team and clients, working with a can do attitude.
You will be providing a wide range of legal services to both private and publically funded individuals within the Crime Department.
Your responsibilities would include:
- Dealing with clients, witnesses, prosecution, courts and third parties
- Completing legal aid applications
- Taking instructions from clients and witnesses
- File opening and ongoing file maintenance
- Dealing with case documents electronically
- Preparation of court bundles
- Archiving old case files
- Generally assisting our team of Solicitors where required.
Excellent organisation skills are essential, along with sound IT knowledge, including Microsoft Office.
You will be a confident and competent administrator with exceptional time management skills and able to work well under pressure.
