General Counsel - Major Projects Business - Saudi
Our client is a major projects organisation. They have numerous big-ticket projects across the region and extensive international expansion plans.
There now exists an exciting and highly rewarding opportunity for a senior legal manager to head the team as General Counsel and handle an international role. The role is based in Saudi Arabia.
As GC you will be responsible for taking a hands-on approach to both leading and developing the team, whilst providing commercial legal support to the business across the region. As a member of the senior management team you will be involved in both strategic decision making and day to day operational affairs in hand with the board.
You must be an astute, commercially focused lawyer with extensive commercial legal, turnkey project, change management and team building experience.
Ideally you will come from an energy, construction, engineering / EPC or heavy industrial background and it is essential you have experience of managing an in-house legal team. You will also be responsible for handling company secretarial matters, handling disputes, managing external counsel plus competition, corporate affairs and many other matters.
For consideration you must possess the skills and experience highlighted above, specifically including turnkey projects (design, build and construction). You must also have a law degree and be a qualified lawyer with a minimum of 10 PQE*. English is essential, Arabic is highly desirable.
