Legal Assistant - Permanent - East Sussex.
- Maintain contracts log of customer sales and supplier contracts, filing, NDAs and ancillary documentation
- Manage information requests made to other parts of the business (risk; quality; sales; supply) to ensure timely resolution of matters
- Arrange, attend and minute contract review meetings, including follow up of action points raised
- Perform initial review of certain NDAs and ancillary documents
- Prepares legal documents under guidance of contracts lawyer and in particular assistance with NDAs
- Read case law, conduct legal research, make notes, and/or prepare briefs as needed
- Organise and archives files and supporting documents and updating Docs Vault archiving
- Verifies information provided as appropriate
- Maintain group register of contracts and manage renewal, expiry points
- Assisting with maintaining regular communication with sales helping to keep them informed on contract progresses, maintaining communications with interested departments, and cataloguing information provided
- assisting in preparing documents as needed, and tracking matters
Profile
Legal Assistant - Permanent - East Sussex.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organised, capable of managing own work load to meet multiple deadlines
- Proactive approach to problem solving and issue resolution
- Previous experience within a legal role preferably involving company or contract law
- Legal training/qualifications would be advantageous
Research skills, Legal knowledge, Administration skills, Organisation skills, Ability to support client confidentiality, Strong analytical skills, Ability to work as part of a team, Strong attention to detail, Ability to detect similarities and trends, both within new information provided and with previously processed details, Experience working in a legal setting strongly preferred. Qualifying degree or equivalent. Documentation Skills, Meeting Planning, Telephone Skills, - General, PC Proficiency, Verbal Communication, Dependability, Professionalism.
