Well known firm are now looking to expand their court of protection provision with the appointment of a solicitor who is a specialist in this field.

This is a great career opportunity and you wouldn't necessarily need to be a panel deputy - but there is scope there for solicitors to progress further in this field.

You will have an excellent understanding of the Mental Capacity Act of 2005 and will be experienced in handling a complex, multiple caseload of Court of Protection Health & Welfare matters.

You will have a strong reputation within this legal sector and have developed strong links with relevant stakeholders in this area of law including local and regional advocacy groups. You will have an excellent understanding of developments in the law in relation to issues concerning Deprivation of Liberty and Mental Capacity whilst also having a working knowledge of Community Care Law and the principles of Public Law as they apply to work in the Court of Protection.

You will have had some experience of supervising a team of fee earners and will have a good track record and passion for developing and training your team.
