LOCATION: Devon (Commutable from: Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset, Wiltshire, Bristol, South West)
SALARY: up to £27,000 plus benefits
A new requirement has arisen for an experienced Employment Solicitor to provide maternity cover on a temporary basis for up to 12 months within a thriving legal department based in Devon. With an immediate start our client has a requirement for an Employment Lawyer to provide a range of general legal advice to Trade Unions and specifically to advise on and sign off Settlement Agreements. Contact with union officials (often at a senior level) and members will form a large part of this role and the post will also include development and promotion of this service. There may be a requirement to meet clients off site for meetings. This role could potentially run as a Locum or FTC post therefore we are keen to hear from Employment Solicitors who are available on a locum or FTC basis.
The ideal Employment Lawyer will be qualified with at least 1+ years experience with knowledge relating to general employment law advice (specifically Settlement Agreements). The successful Employment Lawyer will be required to manage an interesting caseload and be confident in identifying priorities and dealing with matters with accuracy and speed. You will also be given the opportunity to work with the team manager to formulate future team objectives and policies. The ideal candidate will be available at short notice for this Locum or FTC position for up to 12 months. However, the role could potentially lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.
