An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious senior commercial legal counsel with broad contract and commercial experience to join a multinational FTSE 250 B2B ecommerce Group. The role may be based in either London or Oxford offices, with overseas travel opportunities. Reporting to the Vice President of Group Legal, as a member of a small Group-level legal team you will directly support all commercial and e-commerce functions across the business to provide pragmatic legal solutions at all levels, whilst also ensuring that the Group is properly protected in its relationships with third parties.

This is a broad commercial role requiring a strong self-starter capable of building relationships with senior stakeholders across the Group, in addition to managing external counsel. Day-to-day work will include advising on strategic business projects in the digital arena, negotiating national and global customer and supplier contracts and key procurement arrangements including IT and Technology procurement, as well as supporting legal compliance in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. A strong ability to manage your own time effectively is an essential requirement.

You must have a broad technical knowledge of commercial legal issues and experience of multi-national legal project management. In-house legal experience and M&A experience would each be highly advantageous but not essential.

Please note our advertisements use PQE/salary levels purely as a guide. However we are happy to consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role.
