Derivatives and Regulatory Lawyer
The Bank has identified a resource need for an experienced Derivatives and Regulatory lawyer to take a leading role in identifying risk and developing plans for change wrought by developing regulation and structural reform.

The successful Derivatives and Regulatory Lawyer will work with existing lawyers in the team to advise on the implementation of all aspects of regulation and regulatory change impacting the business, including EMIR, MIFID II, structural reform and Brexit.
Responsibility for the documentary impacts on client and market facing contractual documentation.
Looking at client's on-boarding, standard form terms and conditions as well as product specific contractual documentation across the full breadth of businesses supported by the Bank's UK Legal team.
Providing support, as required in relation to other matters or transactions typically undertaken by the WEBB UK Legal team, including structured products, derivatives, credit and investment services.
A derivatives and regulatory lawyer qualified in the UK or equivalent commonwealth jurisdiction, with experience of working in a top law firm and/or in-house with a top financial services organisation;
Proven technical expertise in financial markets and regulation with the ability to work across a broad set of products and sensitivity to the issues presented by a retail-facing business;
Specific experience within MIFID II and/or EMIR necessary.
Acts as a trusted advisor to business and other infrastructure areas;
Contributes to industry-wide initiatives with a good network amongst peer-group externally;
Builds strong risk partnerships with colleagues in other functions;
