Share Schemes/ Corporate Tax lawyer 1+ years’ PQE CAMBRIDGE

Commercial law firm in Cambridge seeks to recruit a Share Schemes/ Corporate Tax lawyer of 1 or more years’ PQE to focus on delivering employee share schemes, corporate tax and real estate tax advice to their clients. The precise mix of work is flexible and will vary depending on your skills and experience.

The Corporate Tax team leads the firm’s employee share schemes work, drawing on the support of corporate, employment and trusts lawyers as and when needed.  They help clients of all sizes to establish employee share schemes, provide ongoing support and advice to share schemes users, and deal with the often complex share schemes aspects of corporate transactions. Work includes advising on EMI options, LTIPs, employee benefit trusts, and a wide range of other forms of tax-privileged and ‘unapproved’ employee share incentives. 

On the general tax side, they carry out advisory work and transaction support work for clients of their corporate, property and employment national service lines and across the firm’s sectors such as technology, education, health and charities.  They also work closely with the firm’s leading private client practice.  

The client base ranges from unquoted, AIM and listed companies, to international clients with a UK presence.  They also advise charities, public sector bodies, partnerships and owner-managers. The role offers varied and interesting work, a diverse client base, a supportive culture, business development opportunities, and a career trajectory. In time, the right candidate is likely to have the opportunity to lead the share schemes practice.

Applicants must currently specialise in Share Schemes and/or Corporate Tax matters.
