Leigh Day is seeking to recruit a Paralegal within our Employment Department. The position will provide Paralegals with a perfect opportunity to develop their experience in employment law, by working alongside an award winning team on ground breaking cases.
Leigh Day is a specialist law firm with some of the country's leading employment and discrimination, personal injury, product liability, clinical negligence, international and human rights teams. Our ground breaking work is regularly featured on leading news channels. Over the years we have won numerous awards including The Lawyers - Employment Team of the Year 2015 award, and have consistently ranked annually in the top tiers of both Chambers and Legal 500 client guides.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting interesting and complex discrimination cases and pensions claims. The role will involve drafting documents, client liaison, research work, general correspondence and administrative support.
Experience in supporting large or multiple claims as an Assistant or Paralegal will be highly advantageous. Any experience of working within employment law is desirable but is not essential. Experience in dealing with legal expenses insurance is also highly desirable. What is essential is a commitment to providing first class support to the wider legal team and to our clients. Candidates should be able to deal with clients in an appropriate manner. We are looking for hard-working and proactive individuals who are able to use their initiative. A positive attitude and an active interest in this area of law are essential. This new role is within a rapidly growing employment and pensions team.
