Charities lawyer 1+ years’ PQE LEEDS
This Charities and Education team, sat within a commercial law firm, is looking to recruit a Charities lawyer of 1 or more years’ PQE. The team acts for a diverse range of clients including service providers, grant makers, religious orders, housing associations, professional societies, independent schools, academies, social enterprises and more. Their advice spans a wide range of issues from governance and constitutional issues, through to trustees' duties and responsibilities, mergers, strategic partnerships, fundraising, trading and Charity Commission regulatory issues.
You will continue to develop your technical expertise through high quality work, with a combination of your own caseload and working as part of our wider team which is down to earth, straightforward, and great to work with. Experience within the Charities sector is not essential, but an interest is. It's your technical skills that we're more interested in. Much of our work for this sector is Corporate in nature so you'll bring the technical expertise that you've already built in this area.
There will be plenty of opportunities for client contact and you will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships. The team has a clear vision and an appetite for growth and it's a great time to be joining us whether you're at the early stages of your career or further on in your development.
Applicants will either already specialise in Charities law or they will currently specialise in Corporate and/or Commercial law but keen to move across to a more Charities-focused role and able to demonstrate an interest in this sector.
