Lancashire based company seeks junior Legal Counsel to work with the General Counsel and wider legal team. The successful applicant will help the business to manage its legal risk, and will focus on drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements. They will also be involved in: company secretarial and compliance support; assisting with corporate transactions; IP; data protection and business training, amongst other areas. They will work closely with the sales teams as well as finance, compliance and the leadership team.
Our client's business is growing and they have acquired a number of businesses in the past two years. The General Counsel is looking for an individual who can help support the business as it grows. Although the role reports into the GC, it is hoped that the individual will have the confidence and ability to manage their own work and to integrate themselves into the business, leading to a good level of autonomy. Culturally the company operates a non-hierarchical, down to earth and approachable working environment.
To be considered, you should be a UK qualified commercial solicitor with circa 1-3 years' PQE. Existing in-house experience is not essential, although it would be beneficial.
