CRA Legal is looking for an enthusiastic law degree and LPC graduate to join this specialist firm in their personal injury, conveyancing and immigration department, which is a combination of the three key specialisms of the firm.
Beyond strong academics your must be eager to learn and take on responsibility with the firm, they want someone who can get on with tasks and is a quick learner. Having said that, support is on hand all the time and a senior member at the firm is never far away. In this sense you will gain expert training and mentoring from experienced solicitors. Ideally, you will speak an additional language, either Urdu or Punjabi (please make clear on CV). The reason being it will assist your client contact and minimise any language barriers.
Any experience in the three practice areas would be beneficial, although not a necessity. They want a professional who can hold their own with difficult and demanding clients, an essential for any legal practice. Further to this, employing excellent communication skills is a must, both written and spoken, again basics for anybody in the legal profession.
The position will start out with an administrative and assistant focus, helping the team on a variety of routine duties and other ac hoc elements. As your knowledge and experience increases there is the chance to take on more duties more aligned to the fee earning route, handling your own cases. Lastly, upon performance and dedication there is the very real possibility of a training contract.
