My client is a successful blue chip organisation within the energy sector, looking to hire a senior property solicitor for their friendly and hardworking team.
Based at their Sussex offices; you will work both autonomously, and in collaboration with the business and legal team, handling a wide range of property matters, both freehold and leasehold; and managing cases with outside providers.
The role will be varied and will encompass a variety of matters including (but not limited to):
- Commercial and residential property matters - acting for vendors, purchaser, landlord and tenant
- Working on conveyancing issues with outside counsel
- Dealing with the negotiation of leases of offices and depots
- Handling disposals – including grant of leases and disposals conditional upon planning permission
- Handling general property related queries from the business
- Dealing with wayleaves, transfers, leases and easements
- Delivering training to the business on changes or updates to relevant legislation.
This exciting role requires a confident and team-oriented Solicitor, with at least 5 years’ PQE in property law, gained ideally from a mixed background including private practice and in-house. However, candidates with the relevant experience, coming straight from either private practice or in-house from another blue-chip organisation, are also of interest.
The successful applicant will need to be able to juggle a variety of matters at the same time requiring excellent prioritisation and communication skills.
