The team's expertise covers the full range of sensitive personnel issues including dismissal, protecting confidentiality, employment tribunals and team moves.
They manage the legal, commercial and reputational risks associated with employment, occupational health and safety, and industrial relations issues.
They are currently seeking a Managing Associate and the individual will need to be a solid all-rounder, with particularly strong experience of corporate support and leading on a range of transactional work, though exposure to advisory and litigation would be highly beneficial.
Experience of any of the following areas would be advantageous but is not essential: private equity sector, working with fund structures, partnerships/LLPs, pensions and/or immigration law.
As well as conducting their fee earning duties, the successful candidate will take responsibility for mentoring and supervising more junior team members and will be a very visible and key member of this highly regarded team.
5pqe + gained within a reputable UK private practice team
Excellent academics, i.e. minimum 2.1 from a university with a reputable law faculty, or equivalent via CPE
Technically very strong with a rigorous and intellectual approach to the law
Very strong drafting and writing skills
Client-focused with a high degree of commercial awareness and pragmatism
Self-confident with well-developed interpersonal skills
An ability to think laterally and creatively when providing solutions
Drive, initiative, enthusiasm and resourcefulness
Ability and desire to take responsibility and act in a fast paced environment
Flexibility and stamina to manage a demanding and often conflicting workload
