We are currently working with the Madrid office of a leading international law firm, ranked in the top tier of Chambers and Legal 500. They are looking for an Associate to join their well-established and very busy Capital Markets team.
You will be part of a dynamic team led by Dutch Qualified Partners and Counsel. The role will cover a broad range of Capital Markets work, including both ECM and DCM work. The role may also involve aspects of Corporate or Corporate Finance work. The work itself will be in English, however, Spanish will be highly valued as it will allow you to speak to colleagues and clients with ease. The role is available due to a high influx of work over the recent months, as such, they are open to candidates between 2 and 6PQE.
Besides the excellent quality of work, other benefits of working in Amsterdam include:
- The opportunity to move to a large international firm (and in some instances take a step up).
- Top salaries - salaries are only 10-15% lower than London but with lower living expenses, they are often on par.
- The quality of your work will remain on a similar level to that of London but you will likely be on a smaller team which will mean that you will be offered greater responsibility and greater client and Partner exposure.
- You will generally get more diverse experience, with some firms not having separate departments, rather teams that work on a variety of banking & finance matters.
In order to make a successful application you will have to have gained relevant Capital Markets experience from a leading City or international UK law firm and be a UK qualified Lawyer or be due to qualify in 2016.
Please note our advertisements use PQE/salary levels purely as a guide. However we are happy to consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role.
