Legal Advisor/counsel - International Pharmaceuticals (1 year contract)
Global pharmaceutical company now seeks a Legal Advisor/legal counsel to support their established EMEA legal team on a fixed term contract for at least 12 months.
The main purpose of the job is to provide support (in conjunction with the EMEA Legal Department) on a wide variety of contractual and legal matters particularly to the R and D function including phase 1-4 clinical studies and with CRO's and CRA's. You will also support generally on areas such as clinical outsourcing, equipment purchasing, collaboration activities and for activities managed by other departments, including support to Global Value & Access and Medical Affairs with their contracting activities (e.g. on real world data collection and investigator initiated studies) and support to the EMEA HR Department in connection with recruitment activities and the engagement of consultants. There is also the possibility to support the Nordics business for those with a connection/experience in the region.
The role requires a commercial lawyer or legal executive with a broad understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and the issues which face it. It would therefore suit an individual with at least 3 years’ experience of pharmaceutical sector contracts at a pharmaceutical company (although appropriate candidates at all levels will be considered) or a CRO of which 2 years must include broad experience in the drafting and negotiation of agreements relating to confidentiality, company risk and liability, materials and the provision of services and or supporting the management of study site and investigator contracts for clinical studies throughout Europe and RoW.
