In-House Litigation Lawyer - London 2-5 yrs
Our client is a leading independent regulator responsible for promoting high quality corporate governance within the UK accounting and auditing profession. They now wish to hire a junior lawyer to join their team of experienced lawyers, reporting directly to senior lawyers. The role will involve the conduct and management of investigations and prosecutions. A great worklife balance and generous annual leave is on offer for the right candidate.
You will work under the supervision of Senior Lawyers and work as part of an experienced team of lawyers where you will focus within the conduct and management of investigations and prosecutions. This position requires you to create the provision and strategy of the investigation/prosecution and ensure progress. You will work closely with internal and external advisers, including experts and counsel and deal with disclosure and all other matters leading up to the tribunal hearing.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 yrs PQE and be a UK qualified Lawyer or Barrister with expertise in regulatory and/or commercial litigation. You will have previous experience working with or acting for a prosecuting authority, regulator or disciplinary body. Must have experience of working with and/or presenting to Committees with the ability to provide excellent legal advice. You will be required to have a natural ability to proactively drive forward large and complex cases. For this opportunity you will need excellent case and trial management, analytical and organisational skills with the ability to respond effectively to a broad spectrum of work and competing demands. Must have strong academics, excellent written communication and relationship management skills and work well under pressure and to deadlines.
