We are working exclusively on an exciting opportunity which has opened up for a Sanctions and AML Assistant based at a Global Law firm in the City of London. The firm are offering a competitive salary £25-27K and the position is based on a 12 month fixed term contract.

The successful candidate must have good attention to detail, as the role is administration heavy and will include analysing reports and making recommendations on those reports. This will be a broad based role, predominantly supporting the Risk, BAU and Sanctions Teams in remediation of sanctions hits. The successful candidate will be able to keep abreast of changes in sanctions regulations for the EU, UN and US. Certain duties will include monitoring the sanctions screening inbox and escalating potential sanctions matches in the appropriate manner.

The ideal candidate must be a strategic thinker with commercial awareness and must have the ability to work well under pressure, often within short deadlines. Experience wise, we are looking for the candidate to possess a broad understanding of EU, US and UN sanctions with some experience in carrying out Sanctions screening. It is highly desirable for the ideal candidate to be degree educated with a paralegal background in criminal law. Given the international nature of the law firm, a foreign language skill would be beneficial but this is not essential.

Please note successful applicants will be invited to register with Law Support and a full job specification will be provided.
