PR Specialist at Leading US Law Firm, to £55,000

One of the world’s most prominent law firms is looking to recruit a new PR Specialist to assist the BD Director and Partners in implementing a PR/media relations strategy for the London office, along with other offices in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.  Responsibilities will include drafting press releases and complimentary client and internal communications, developing and maintaining relationships with journalists from the legal press, anticipating and managing potential negative coverage or sensitive issues, keeping fee earners up to date with media coverage, considering implications of press coverage and drafting relevant internal communications if necessary, liaising with the media team in New York and sharing information with them, manage the process for awards submissions and awards dinners and any other duties as and when required.  Candidates should have a minimum of three years media relations/PR/communications experience and relationships with the legal press would be advantageous.  Applicants should also have experience of producing media plans and have expert writing abilities in order to draft internal and external communications in a way that will influence others.  Standard hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm.
