Risk & Compliance Executive

Our client, a leading national firm with particular expertise in Healthcare and Real Estate, seeks a Risk & Compliance Executive to join their London office.

Joining a busy team responsible for developing and maintaining effective risk management and compliance policies, you will provide support and clarity on the processes of reporting and monitoring. You will also be key to engaging members of the firm across their nationwide offices, promoting a wider understanding of risk and compliance.

Day-to-day responsibilities are likely to involve managing the risk & compliance registers, handling individual queries on internal procedures, maintaining new client AML/conflict checks, coordinating internal audits and guiding lawyers when conducting the audits and working with Heads of Department across the firm to improve general compliance.

This role would ideally be suited to someone with at least 1 year's experience of risk and compliance from a law firm. You will be looking to apply your experience and step up to Compliance Executive level at a firm that offers genuine opportunities for career progression. The firm would also consider very experienced Corporate, Banking & Finance or Real Estate paralegals with specific experience of AML, conflicts or general compliance. It is essential that you have had working experience of compliance and are able to demonstrate a genuine commitment to pursuing a career in this area. Previous experience of project management is essential and you will be confident working under pressure and juggling multiple deadlines.

This is a permanent position, although candidates interested in part time contracts will also be considered. Salary is up to £34k subject to experience.
