GERMAN SPEAKING COMMERCIAL LAWYER NEEDED - E-COMMERCE
We are working with a leading name in e-commerce who are looking for a German-speaking commercial lawyer to join their growing legal team. The role can be based in London or in Berlin.
The role involves supporting the business across Europe, with particular focus on UK and Germany. The contract will initially last for 11 months, commencing within the next 2 months.
Responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, negotiating and reviewing a wide range of commercial contracts, including sponsorship and partnership agreements.
- Review and advise on online content and functionality across their digital platforms.
- Advise on marketing and advertising, payments law, user complaints, and internal process compliance.
- Manage outside counsel as well as liaise with relevant regulatory bodies to advise on potential regulatory issues and internal process compliance.
Candidate requirements:
- German-qualified or UK-qualified lawyer, with business fluency in German and English. Additional language skills would be advantageous, in particular French and/or Spanish.
- Ideally 3 to 5 years PQE with in-depth experience with commercial agreements. In-house experience in the e-commerce, technology or media sectors would be preferred.
- Knowledge of consumer, EU payments and anti-money laundering laws is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong negotiation skills, be able to work independently, and commercially minded.
- Flexibility to travel to other offices in EMEA and the US.
