Senior Compliance Officer

This Manchester city centre client is seeking a senior compliance officer for an exciting new role in their market leading risk and compliance team. This is a role that reports into this international law firm's compliance manager in London, and looks after queries from more junior compliance officers in the Manchester team.

To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience of working within the risk and compliance field, preferably within a legal environment, although candidates working in the financial or another regulated sector will also be considered.

You will need to have in depth knowledge of money laundering, and the Solicitors Code of Conduct, and experience of managing client due diligence across a number of jurisdictions. You will be working closely with senior solicitors and partners in this role, so must be confident in doing this.

Alongside your day to day work in opening new clients for the firm and doing conflict checks and CDD, you will also be involved with day to day monitoring and support for the team, as well as having an involvement in firm wide projects and training.
