Finance Administrator (Part-time – 2 days a week)

This law firm is one of the longest established firms in London, with a history going back to the seventeenth century. The firm is now a mid-sized commercial practice with 70 partners and practice areas that include Corporate, Employment, Disputes, Family and Private Client. 

They are currently recruiting for a Finance Administrator to join their Finance and Risk team on a part-time basis (2 days per week). The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills along with accurate numeracy and literary and confidence to deal with internal and external clients. 

Responsibilities

Producing, checking and dispatching regular reminder letters, statements and emails to clients. 

Banking cheques received in payment of invoices.

Opening and distributing mail. 

Taking card payments via the telephone from clients.

Monitoring the Credit Control email inbox and answering queries as appropriate.

Monitoring incoming credits and making transfers as necessary in the online banking system.

Dealing with client requests or passing requests to Fee Earners.

Dealing with queries from the team helpline or passing them onto the appropriate person for action.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be ambitious with a desire to gain experience within a legal finance department.

Flexible, open and friendly with the ability to prioritise and multi-task. 

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Financial qualifications would be advantageous.
