We are looking for a creative and commercial individual to lead the marketing function for one of London’s leading Patent and Trademark firms. Reporting into the board, you’ll have full strategic responsibility for the firm’s market presence through a range of channels, from digital innovation through to events, communications and client development or new business initiatives.  

What you’ll do

• Work with firms group leaders to develop and implement firm wide marketing and BD plans and strategy, to include defining and managing the firms budget and reporting back on performance and effectiveness.
• Integrate a digital and online strategy into the firm wide marketing plan, making sure the firms brand and content is at the cutting edge of the sector. The role will also advise on PR strategy to publicise content and activity in the best possible way. 
• Develop a structured approach to business development and profile raising activities, identifying targeted projects such as leveraging opportunities for partners to attend networking forums and speak at events/conferences
• Work with the client teams and partners to advise around pro-active management of key client relationships, ensuring consistency of work emanating from key accounts, working with the partners also in a client facing capacity. 
• Project manage the firms formal tender and bid process, creating creative and bespoke responses for key opportunities and effective collateral to help develop the firms brand proposition when winning work. 

What we’re looking for

• It goes without saying that proven experience at a strategic level is a pre requisite for this role. That said it likely suit a manager through to existing head of looking for more strategic responsibility, or perhaps a broader role in a more creative sector. 
• Candidates will have ideally worked within, or have a strong understanding of partnerships and or owner managed businesses in professional services; as well as a clear passion for Intellectual Property. 
• Above all an ability to lead, inspire, and work with senior stakeholders is key. Core skills would include digital expertise alongside broader communications, PR, content and thought leadership.
