This leading international company is looking to hire an additional Counsel into their legal team.
You will need to be qualified as a Barrister or Solicitor and have a relevant residential/property construction background or a solid understanding of housing/real estate.
The role will include:
- Providing legal advice to the Housing team concerning all aspects of housing and development projects;
- Assisting with drafting and negotiation of contracts and legal documentation covering land acquisition/disposals, development, planning and permitting, construction and sales;
- Assisting with drafting and negotiation of contracts and legal documentation with applicable governmental authorities;
- Assisting with management of external legal counsel (in consultation with the Managing Director-Housing and Divisional General Counsel);
- Liaising with the Division General Counsel on legal matters affecting Housing and application/implementation of Group Legal and Business Integrity/Ethics initiatives;
- Assisting with the implementation of training;
- Monitoring legal developments and changes in law/regulatory framework affecting the Housing business;
- Assisting with litigation and legal dispute management and reporting (in consultation with the Divisional General Counsel);
- Assisting with development of Housing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Divisional and Group legal and Business Integrity/Ethics initiatives;
- Management of standard legal forms, including periodic review and revision of forms based on applicable legal and business developments; and
- Assisting with management of legal risk identification and related assurance/audit processes.
The package on offer is £65–£80k + £6100 car allowance + up to 5% Bonus + Healthcare + Bens
