The prospective company:

The client we are representing is a highly-trusted, high-calibre law firm in the Cayman Islands. They possess a global presence as well as a strong local client-base. They deal with complex transactions and specialise in everything from Corporate, Investment Funds, Banking and Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions, Private Equity, Litigation and more. The firm itself is a boutique law firm, growing its Cayman presence rapidly. With an office also in London, they are keen to add to their close-knit, esteemed team in Cayman due to accelerated expansion plans stemming from an influx of client demand.

The opportunity:

• Working alongside the Partner, you would be provided with the opportunity to handle a variety of Corporate matters, ranging from establishing, maintain and dealing with offshore structures such as SPV’s
• Advising on any compliance and regulatory issues associated with transactions
• Participating and advising on Mergers and Acquisitions
• Advising on complex, multi-jurisdictional structured finance transactions

What they are ideally looking for:

• A self-motivated professional with the drive and ambition
• Solid work-ethic with a flexible and adaptable outlook
• A candidate who is knowledgeable and experienced in all areas of Corporate law, in addition to Mergers and Acquisitions, SPV’s and dealing with complex transactions
• Proven track record of specialising in Corporate law within other highly-reputable law firms
• Experience with business development initiatives
• Experience with handling high-profile, confidential case matters
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Must-haves:

• Law Degree (or similar) from a reputable University
• Post Qualification with a minimum of 3 years PQE within a Commonwealth jurisdiction (due to Immigration requirements)
• Expertise and experience in Corporate law
