Corporate & Governance Solicitor - Birmingham

Are you a Corporate Solicitor with somewhere in excess of 3 years PQE and looking to break out of the long hour / boiler room culture that some firms subscribe to? I have an opportunity where the work is fantastic quality, where you will have the chance to lead on transactions from the outset and where there is a genuine sustainable working environment which defines a good working life balance.

My client is a firm with a great reputation nationally for the work that they handle, particularly on behalf of clients from the third and public sector where their clients focus on work which improves lives, communities and society generally. They are currently looking to recruit a corporate Solicitor who can advise on transactional and governance matters, personally leading on small and mid-value projects. You will have full support and mentorship from senior members in the team which would give you an enviable position of having the opportunity to carver a name for yourself in the market, while never being far from market leading partners to offer advice and light touch support and supervision when required.

At the core of this role you will lead and support on matters concerning, but not limited to: group structures, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and collaborations, commercial decisions and assessing risks, advising on directors and trustees duties and responsibilities, funding: institutional and capital markets funding arrangements, development finance and intra-group lending.

While corporate experience is clearly essential for this position, it is not essential that your experience is derived from acting on behalf of third or public sector clients, however you will need to be able to build strong relationships with your client base, be able to collaborate and work as a team with your colleagues, and to cope with tight deadlines and the demands of clients.

This genuinely is a great option with a progressive firm who entirely get the idea that you can work on behalf of high quality corporate clients, take responsibility for your own work and lead on projects while not having to sacrifice your home life or career prospects. Surely that's a good thing?
