Your new role

A Conveyancing Fee Earner is required for a 9 month maternity leave contract starting in December. You will be responsible for assisting in the management of a busy residential caseload.The role will involve being one of the primary contacts for all third party communications on transactions involving liaising with clients, estate agents and other solicitors and you must therefore be confident in both oral and written communication. Day to day tasks will include all the following typical elements in a conveyancing transaction: providing initial quotations, setting up files, dealing with clients, agents, solicitors, preparing and sending out contract papers, raising enquiries and submitting searches, preparing reports, dealing with exchanges and completions.


What you'll need to succeed

Experience/Familiarity of working with Dropbox and case management system would be preferable. General IT literacy and an ability to carry your own typing and use basic programs such as word, outlook and excel is essential as there will not be secretarial support for this role. Knowledge of preparing wills, powers of attorney and running probate files would be beneficial but not essential. The role may suit either a newly qualified solicitor, conveyancer, legal executive or an experience paralegal with appropriate training and background experience.
