The Client
My client is recognised as being among the leading litigation practices based in the City of London. It is listed on Legal 50 as a top ranking firm for clients and over 60% of its lawyers are considered leading practitioners.
The Role
They are currently looking for a paralegal to assist the criminal litigation department with both large and smaller cases. The appointee will:
- Research points of law and other issues in an accurate way through the use of the appropriate sources.
- Deal with document management and administration
- Undertake an accurate work of analysis, summarizing and collating large amounts of information
- Attend meeting with clients as well as conferences and show up in court
- Deal with other general administrative tasks
Skills required
The ideal candidate will have excellent academic results and at least six months of previous experience working as a paralegal. The appointee must possess knowledge of the criminal practice area, excellent research skills and effective organization skills. Some experience of Crown Court Trials is advantageous but not a pre-requisite. My client is looking to hire someone with a very good IT knowledge and the ability to multitask. The appointee must be and excellent communicator and be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with clearly defined deadlines. He or she needs to be able to adapt to a quickly evolving environment changing priorities throughout the day may be handled even without a close supervision.
