A highly rated national Legal 500 and Chambers rated firm is expanding its Professional Negligence Team and so is keen to appoint a Professional Indemnity Solicitor or Legal Executive to its team which is based in the firms' Birmingham city centre office.

The firm is renowned as a specialist within the insurance and risk sectors and has a headcount in excess of 200 nationally. It boasts longstanding relations with a host of insurers, from those embedded within the London market as well as small niche insurers, right though to those with an international presence.

The team, which in Birmingham comprises 4 partners and 7 solicitors, is keen to hear from solicitors and legal executives who have a minimum of 12 months' experience of working in the professional indemnity sector, either from defendant or a claimant background. The Professional Indemnity Team is retained by a number of leading insurers and also undertakes work on a privately funded basis, acting on behalf of solicitors, accountants, architects and surveyors defending claims levelled against them.

The role will allow you to have conduct of your own caseload of professional negligence matters and at the same time work alongside the Head of Department on more complex and technically challenging matters meaning that you can very quickly enhance your technical skills.

The firm is offering a very competitive salary and benefits package and actively develops and promotes its staff from within. Whilst the firm are happy to recruit an experienced lawyer at Associate level, those with less PQE will be encouraged to work towards promotion quickly so this really is a role that will allow you to progress quickly, both in terms of seniority and exposure to more challenging instructions.
