Senior Commercial Lawyer (German Qualified)

Our client is an international manufacturing company, with a truly global reach who are looking to hire either a German qualified lawyer, or a UK qualified commercial lawyer with experience in German legal work, to join their growing in-house legal team, based in the East Midlands.

This organisation is a leading producer of industrial components to a number of leading brands worldwide, with many of its products and systems being employed across a diverse range of sectors. Reporting into the European Legal Director, this is an EMEA focussed role with an emphasis on German legal work. You will lead the day-to-day operations of the legal team to deliver an efficient, flexible, responsive and commercial legal advice to this expanding business. 

Specifically, you will be responsible for:
·    managing a small team of two lawyers as well as external legal outsourcing when required;
·    leading on advising the business on a range of commercial legal matters; 
·    creating and implementing strategy for internal legal training and education programmes;

This is a fantastic role for a senior lawyer who is interesting in working for market-leading business on international projects with the genuine prospect of career progression.  Due to the emphasis of German related legal work, we would ideally like to hear from German qualified lawyers or a UK qualified lawyer with experience of German legal work. This opportunity is likely to suit lawyers with six or more years PQE gained in commercial work in either a leading law firm or another in-house organisation.
