My client, a leading pharmaceutical company based in Cambridgeshire is seeking a European Compliance Project Manager to join their established legal department on a permanent basis. This senior position within the European Legal and Compliance team provides a pivotal role in managing European projects, such as the European Data Privacy programme and assisting in assuring the strategic requirements of the European compliance programme are met.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
* Project managing the implementation of the EU Data Privacy Policy across the region.
* Implementing and developing a new EU Compliance Hotline
* Developing and maintaining an online compliance training policy including the use of apps and other remote solutions
* Maintaining current EU policies including but not limited to their Anti-Corruption Policy, Code of Business Ethics and EU Data Privacy Policy
* Supporting and assisting Compliance Officers across the region with compliance training as required
* Supporting the Head of Legal and the Head of European Compliance in support of developing and strengthening the compliance programme
* Working closely with the EU Legal teams
The ideal candidate will be coming from a Legal background and hold a wealth of compliance experience gained within the pharmaceutical remit. It'll be necessary to hold a strong understanding of applicable Data Privacy laws and their impact on the business as well as holding a strong understanding of the issues and challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry.
This role will require international travel from time to time; however this will generally be within the region.
