Our client is a renowned law firm with 12 offices worldwide and more than 900 Lawyers. They specialise in a range of practice areas including corporate and intellectual property. They are widely recognised for representing well-known clients, and are consistently awarded for their work in technology and innovation.
They are now looking to hire a Senior Client Account Coordinator who will be responsible for safeguarding the Firm’s client money. The individual must have an in depth knowledge of the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules, and work very well under pressure.
Responsibilities
Administer all transactions relating to the operation and control of the firm’s client accounts.
Prepare, review and post all client money transactions as needed.
Handle all correspondence with the banks, including updating the bank mandates.
Prepare both the client and office account bank reconciliations on a monthly basis.
Advise partners and other fee earners on SAR application.
Prepare the daily cash receipts summary.
Prepare and review the daily cash position.
Take ownership for the online banking facilities.
Management of residual client balances.
Supervise the workflow of the Client Account Coordinator.
Assist with the audit process.
Ad hoc reports and project work.
Candidate Profile
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Proficient knowledge of and application of the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules.
Good knowledge of VAT and its practical application.
Previous supervision / staff management experience.
Knowledge of Elite accounting package
AAT certification (or equivalent)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to use initiative, diplomacy and tact.
Team member who demonstrates positive leadership qualities.
