Defendant Insurance Fraud Solicitor/Legal Executive

A highly rated Legal 500 listed and Chambers rated national practice is looking to appoint a Defendant Fraud Solicitor or Legal Executive to its established Motor Fraud Team in its Birmingham city centre office.

The firm is renowned as a specialist within the insurance and risk sectors and has a headcount in excess of 2000 nationally. It boasts longstanding relations with a host of insurers, from those embedded within the London market as well as small niche insurers, right though to those with an international presence.

The Motor Insurance Fraud Team, which comprises lawyers who are named in the Legal 500 and act on behalf of highly reputable insurer clients, is keen to hear from solicitors and legal executives who have a minimum of 4 years' experience of dealing with defendant RTA insurance fraud cases. You will handle both Fast Track and Multi-Track litigated and pre-litigated claims and will have experience of dealing with LVI, phantom passengers and staged accidents. In addition, you will have been exposed to declaration proceedings, committal proceedings and Article 75 matters.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced fraud lawyer who is seeking to take a step up and deal with high quality fraud cases where you will be able to work collaboratively with renowned insurers and be part of their fraud prevention strategy processes. These insurer clients actively pursue those who are suspected of fraudulent activity rather than adopt a commercial, and often frustrating, position and very rarely choose to abandon pursuit of individuals meaning that this role really does afford a different way of working in the fraud sector.

The practice is offering a very competitive salary and benefits package and actively develops and promotes its staff from within. Whilst the firm are happy to recruit an experienced lawyer at Associate level, those with less PQE will be encouraged to work towards promotion so this is a role that will allow you to progress quickly, both in terms of seniority and exposure to more challenging instructions.
