In house Commercial Solicitor

Our client is a global, billion pound manufacturing business with a range of award winning products. Their established legal team has seen the scope and volume of their work grow, and as a result they are now looking for additional resource, to take on a varied and interesting role.

You will provide legal advice and expertise to the organization , both to the UK and overseas offices, and draft, negotiate and advise on a range of UK and international business contracts and legal issues which could cover such matters as intellectual property, sale and purchasing, transport, IT, Services including specialist services such as IT, supplier contracts, special projects, compliance advice and even competition/anti-trust issues.

You will need excellent communication skills, be able to operate in multi-disciplinary teams, and have a flexible and tactful approach to delivering pragmatic commercial legal advice. Ideally you will have (as a minimum) 2-5 years pqe, along with some experience of working in an in house environment. As much of the work is international in nature, language skills would be of interest, but are by no means essential. You'll be a confident lawyer with exceptional communication skills, who is comfortable working with senior business individuals, and has a good commercial 'nous' to compliment your black letter legal skills.
