Cutting edge industrial group that manufactures an extensive range of world-leading engineering products is seeking a junior lawyer to join the team. This role will allow you to interact with the board and work directly with senior commercial managers on a a daily basis. Working in a team of 4, your actions will be directly visible to the board and you will be given as much responsibility as your ability allows.
* Drafting and negotiating a wide range of global commercial contracts including non-disclosure agreements, consultancy agreements, agency and distribution agreements, collaboration and licence agreements, share and asset purchase agreements, inter-company agreements, sales terms and supply and service agreements (including via tender process).
* Researching and advising on global legal issues and providing advice, guidance and support to a wide range of managers and specialists across sales, purchasing, operations, engineering, technology, finance, HR and the Board of Directors.
* Conducting due diligence on potential acquisition targets and assisting with M&A transactions.
* Providing training to the business on a number of legal topics, such as basic contract law and confidentiality.
* Interacting with the Board of Directors on key legal issues.
* Assisting with various ethics and compliance projects to assist with the company's compliance with anti-bribery and corruption, human rights and modern slavery legislation.
* Drafting letters before action and advising on disputes.
* Updating policies and procedures.
* Drafting and updating standard template agreements.
* Conducting contract management audits with the Internal Audit & Risk Manager.
* Managing and interfacing with external legal counsel on international issues.
* Keeping up to date with legal developments that have an impact on internal business processes and procedures.
* Assisting with process improvement strategies.
This company allows for flexible working with a 1pm finish on a Friday and is open to a more senior lawyer looking to work 4 days per week. In-house experience whether it has been obtained via a secondment or directly is advantageous but not mandatoryt
