Senior Corporate Counsel (m/f)

Global leader in the automotive manufacturing sector is seeking to appoint a common law qualified senior legal counsel in their HQ in Brussels.

Reporting into the Chief Legal Officer, you will join a global legal team of outstanding and international professionals. You will provide first class legal advice to the business in commercial, corporate and data protection matters, in particular you will draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements as well supporting the business in M&A activity, including actively managing the deal process as well as due diligence activity. Furthermore you will provide corporate governance support to the Board of Directors, as well as different committees. You will be highly proactive in ensuring data protection obligations are met and where appropriate devise new strategies to fulfil compliance requirements.

You have obtained at least six years post-qualification experience within common law and have completed your training at a leading law firm as well as several years of in-house experience. You will have previous experience in data protection matters. Foreign language skills such as French or German are advantageous as is experience in the manufacturing industry. You are an excellent communicator with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You display a high level of business acumen combined with strong analytical skills and are able to work well under pressure meeting tight deadlines.
