Locum Childcare Solicitor

An excellent opportunity for a Locum Childcare Solicitor to join a well established Local Authority legal team has arisen in the West Midlands.

The successful candidate will be working for a successful council with great travel links for commuters and the local authority offer flexible working hours. The role will be initially for a 12 months period on an on-going contract and is offered on a full-time basis.

Applications are welcome from Qualified Solicitors or Barristers with a current Legal Practice Certificate.

The duties on a day-to-day basis are as follows:

• Managing a full caseload of Childcare cases
• Dealing with interim care orders and emergency protection orders under the Public Law Outline
• Attending both County Court and Family Proceedings Court including trial hearings, directions hearing and half day hearings
• Performing own advocacy – contested and final hearings

A rate of £30 - £35 per hour dependant upon experience is offered.
