Senior Legal Counsel - Software

A newly created position has arisen to work for one of the UK's fastest growing software companies for an experienced Legal Counsel to cover a broad Commercial & Corporate role. This organisation is based out of the US with a string track record of consistent growth offering a fast paced environment, varied and challenging work and ongoing opportunities for career development.

The role is based out of their head office in the Thames Valley where you will be required to work from there 1 day per week. The other 4 days can be spent working out of their City office or home based.

Covering legal matters across the EMEA and APAC regions you will be responsible for:

- negotiating and drafting commercial agreements such as software licences, SaaS contracts, NDAs and supplier contracts

- advising on potential risk and compliance issues

- supporting on corporate transactions, M&A, JV and IPO activity

- assisting with matters concerning data protection, IP, and corporate governance

You will be a qualified lawyer having trained in a reputable private practice firm, ideally coupled with similar experience in-house with a software company. You will have demonstrated experience drafting software licencing agreements and good working knowledge of data protection, corporate law and relevant compliance.
