Junior In-House Lawyer

LAW Absolute is working on a truly exceptional opportunity; Our client is a Fortune 500 American multinational company who are seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior Lawyer to join their vibrant offices in London.  

The company itself is remarkable and operates operate on a truly global scale with presence in over 40 countries worldwide. Despite its large scale, you will be working within a highly supportive and collaborative Legal team undertaking varied and interesting work.

The role will involve a core focus on licensing for live events and attractions. You will report into the Director of Legal & Business Affairs and essentially support the Director across global live events and attraction deals for the Group. You will  also provide support to  the marketing teams for on-line and off-line marketing initiatives as well as dealing with all number of ad- hoc general commercial queries from all areas of the business. The role requires as a minimum;

• Good licensing experience and ideally that experience will include knowledge and experience of live events and attractions namely; brand themed mini shows, costume character meet & greets, ticketed stage shows and the more large scale themed / interactive attractions

• Negotiating (with appropriate supervision) a variety of license agreements third party licensees and/or agents. 
• Drafting contract amendments, termination letters, notices of breach
• Have excellent drafting and negotiation skills and excellent IP knowledge and experience.

The ideal candidate will be bright and astute, have excellent academics and ideally have at least 2 years previous experience in a similar role. In addition you will possess the following skills;

The firm offers a competitive remuneration package. The role is maternity cover and is to start from December for a duration of 6-8 months.
