Proof Reader - Night shift

One of the leading global law firms are now recruiting for an experienced document examiner to join their existing London team (Liverpool Street) on a full-time basis working 12am - 8am (Mon - Fri) Successful candidates must have experience of working as a proof-reader/document examiner within either law, professional services or publishing/editing who is a confident and clear communicator. Duties will include: reading documents against supplied drafts to ensure accuracy, sense, internal consistency and appropriate use of house/client style. Performing text to text comparisons of documents, marking changes through method requested by user. Reading documents for typo's, grammar, sense, consistency where no draft supplied, applying copy-editing skills where necessary and may include definition checks, cross-reference checks whilst using Word - including in-house toolbar - macros, Adobe Acrobat) This will be a busy role supporting the firm's domestic and internal offices with complex, deadline sensitive documentation. In addition to the above basic salary there is also a very generous shift allowance (c £6,000) plus a very long list of other benefits commensurate with a global provider of legal services.
