Locum Planning Lawyer

Planning Lawyer required to join a local authority based in Essex. This locum role will run for an initial 3 months, with the strong likelihood of this being extended to 1 year.

This is a fantastic opportunity to undertake a busy, all-encompassing planning position, within a popular local authority.

The successful Planning Lawyer will independently run their own caseload of 20-30 files on average. Alongside this, the planning workload will be varied, to include;

• Advising planning officers
• Advising on the local development plan (LDP)
• s106 matters
• Advising at planning committees when scheduled to do so (once per month)

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Planning Lawyer, with the ability to work independently and hit the ground running with a busy workload. Any experience in handling green belt land matters would be highly beneficial, although not essential for this role.
