This leading international investment bank is seeking an experienced lawyer to join their London office in a largely advisory role. This role will see you identifying and advising on legal, regulatory and market developments arising under regulatory changes that impact the bank and its business. You will also advise on legal and reputational issues arising in transactions, manage relationships both internally and externally, and get involved in project work.
The role has a broad remit which will include (but is not restricted to) providing advice on the following areas:
- Sales and trading activity
- Operational risk management
- Inter-affiliate activity and agency arrangements
- Trading platforms and clearing systems
- Network management
You will have trained at a top tier law firm and have gained post-qualification experience (minimum 3 years’) in financial services regulatory law, and preferably had some in-house experience, whether that be on secondment or having already made the move in-house. You may also come from a transactional background (derivatives, lending), but must have had an advisory element as part of your role. Exposure to regulatory change issues such as MiFID 2, Volcker, Dodd-Frank and EMIR is highly advantageous.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, fast-paced environment that provides great scope to grow and develop existing legal skills.
