In-house Counsel

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced In-house Solicitor, with a broad commercial background, to join an innovative and growing business based in their central London office. The role would be perfect for someone with experience of working autonomously and that has previously worked in a fast-paced, technology focussed business. Salary is dependent on experience, although in the region of £60-70k.

The successful In-house Solicitor will head up legal operations in the UK, working closely alongside colleagues across the world, to manage all legal matters, including; drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, advising on commercial property, compliance, risk, construction, and technology specific issues. As this is a standalone position, the In-house Solicitor will work closely with the external panel of Solicitors; managing the relationship with the business and managing the legal spend, whilst also looking at ways to grow the legal function.

Applications are invited from Solicitors, ideally with more than 8 years PQE, who have spent a significant amount of time working In-house in a broad role. It is preferred that candidates have experience of working autonomously, or as part of a small legal team, and that candidates have worked in a fast-paced and commercially focussed business (e.g. technology, e-commerce, automotive etc.).
