We are seeking a Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join well- established securities brokerage firm.
ROLE:
This role will be dynamic and challenging and include a variety of work such as:
- Negotiating brokerage terms of business, commission sharing arrangements, give-up agreements and electronic connectivity terms;
- Reviewing and negotiating custody and clearing agreements as they relate to the cash equities business;
- Reviewing membership (and related) contractual and other documentation for exchanges, including multilateral trading facilities;
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating of commercial contracts such as engagement letters, IP/IT agreements, NDAs and ad-hoc agreements.
- Liaise with lawyers working in other jurisdictions on cross-border initiatives
- Instructing and liaising with external counsel, as required
THE CANDIDATE:
- The desired candidate will have 2-4* years PQE gained within a financial services environment or private practice firm.
*Candidates outside of this bracket will be considered if they are able to demonstrate the prerequisite experience required.
