An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Part Time Locum Litigation Lawyer to join a local authority in the East Midlands.
Our client is a leading authority; their in house legal team is continually recognised for the work they deliver for the wider public sector.
Candidates should be ambitious and driven as this contract is predicted to last for a minimum of 6 months. You should be a confident litigator with a strong background defending public sector bodies in all aspects of litigation.
Previous experience is required in the following areas:
· complex adult social care debt recovery
· contractual disputes
· planning enforcement
· highway and education prosecutions.
Our client is happy to consider flexible working times and is ideally looking for a candidate who can work 3 or 4 days a week (up to 22.5 hours). We can offer a highly competitive hourly rate of £35-£40 per hour for this position.
Applications are welcome from Qualified Solicitors, Barristers, and FCILEX Lawyers who have experience dealing with local authority litigation. Candidates from a private practice background are welcome to apply provided they can demonstrate experience defending public sector bodies.
