Top tier UK firm with offices in Edinburgh or Glasgow are interested in speaking with candidates with circa 2+ PQE to work on a role will largely focus on the property aspects of energy and infrastructure work.
The firm has one of the largest teams of dedicated property lawyers in the UK- their breadth of experience coupled specialist knowledge means that whether they are advising on a complex multi-million pound development or arranging a quick sale of a single building, their clients receive the legal support they require, when and how they want it.
The team has an extensive track record advising on all aspects of multi-million pound developments throughout the UK; fielding a cross-discipline team of lawyers who are a match for the scale and complexity of the work involved- clients include major developers, funders, investors and local authorities.
Sector insight is absolutely central to the way the team works- The firm supports clients by providing a full range of legal services across a wide range of sectors globally, one of which is Energy. The firm has a market leading practice combining a wealth of transactional and contentious experience and one of the largest dedicated energy and natural resources teams of any international law firm. Within the sector, expertise spans the entire energy spectrum, including the traditional areas of upstream and downstream oil and gas, nuclear, power generation, energy management, electricity and gas transmission as well as renewables, carbon capture and storage, gas storage projects and asset decommissioning.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will ideally have gained experience in commercial property with a large regional or national practice. They will have a strong academic background and an outgoing personality. Candidates must also be technically excellent but equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic about, and demonstrate a track record of, business development. They will be a team player with a strong client focussed approach. They will also have excellent communication and organisational skills and a good record of training and working with junior lawyers. Expertise in the real estate aspects of energy work is desirable but not essential.
