Commercial Contracts - Principle Solicitor

Solicitor with commercial contracts and management experience required to join leading local authority.

This is a progressive and forward thinking organisation who are situation at the heart of the area they represent. They are a large multicultural metropolitan borough council, which is made up of 6 of 6 towns with over 10,000 employees providing a comprehensive range of services. The council have recently took on a major project and due to this and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principle Solicitor with commercial contracts experience to join their legal team on a locum basis.

Your new role
You will undertake and supervise all complex work relating to procurement and project matters. You'll also provide legal advice to the Council and it's committees, Members and at meetings and take responsibility for the development and management of close working relationships with client services areas and members. It is also expected you will also assist the Legal Manager with the effective management, organisation and development of the team.

What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience in a similar role will lead to your success. You'll come from a strong back ground of dealing with commercial contracts with knowledge of Local Government Law. You will also be adaptable, flexible, dependable and work as part of the team within the legal Services and as part of a multi disciplinary team. You'll ideally be a minimum 4 years PQE and have previous management experience.
