Industrial Disease Senior Solicitor, Newcastle

Our client, a nationally recognised Legal 500 firm, is looking to add an Associate/ Senior Associate Solicitor to their Newcastle based Accident at Work team due to expansion.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with 10 years PQE to join them. Demonstrable strong Business Development and networking capability with the ability to build relationships with medical professionals, charities and other key organisations is essential. An existing network of key workplace disease work source contacts in the North East would be an advantage. An established track record in handling a high value range of Work Place Accident and Occupational Disease cases including a variety of Respiratory cases, Asbestos Related Diseases and significant experience leading on high value and complex claimant cases.

Experience supervising and developing more junior members of a team would be desired as well as the ability to operate independently and as part of a team (and able to foster supportive relationships within the team) to deliver the best outcomes for clients and develop other team members. In addition, excellent client care and inter-personal skills, operating with integrity and showing empathy and intuition is an essential asset to be considered for this position. Candidates with a relevant Professional Accreditation in this field would be desired.
